Exploring Psychotherapy When Success Feels Empty
The Costs and Challenges of Success
Many of my clients are highly successful in their field. They are CEOs, business founders, consultants, doctors. Often, they are trying to navigate highly competitive environments, while also maintaining homes, relationships, families, and their mental health.
In my work with them, I’ve noticed patterns in their challenges, and the things that help. That’s why I’ve started an article series on the impact of success, deepening my research into this area of psychology and psychotherapy, and really honing my work when it comes to this area of personal development:
Why do we lose our mental health in highly-achieving lifestyles?
What are the key factors in maintaining mental health when it comes to highly successful lifestyles?
How to we support and encourage ambition and mental health at the same time?
How do we reclaim our joy in high-achieving lifestyles?
Exploring Psychotherapy for Success
Finding a therapist that feels right can be a vulnerable thing to do, and sometimes it’s a long journey.
Some things to consider are making sure your therapist is trained and experienced in the issues and topics you want to explore. You might also want to make sure they are professionally registered, and confirm their level of accreditation.
More than that, though, sometimes it’s about finding the right fit. The relationship with your therapist is really important and unique. Finding someone you feel comfortable with, and finding someone you feel can help you, can take time.
I’m a senior accredited psychotherapist who has experience working with highly successful individuals. I work face-to-face in Bristol, and I work online in the UK and internationally. I also have an online booking system, making booking sessions easier for people on the go.
You can find out more about me here.
Also, to try and help you figure out if we’re the right fit, I offer free 15min online consultations to help you see if we might work.
Free Consultations
Time:
Consultations last about 15 minutes, and can be booked weekdays, daytime or evenings.
Location:
Consultations take place online
Aims:
The aim of the consultation is to give you an opportunity to ask any questions you might have, for me to get an idea of what you might be seeking therapy for, and for us to discuss how I might help you with what you are bringing. It’s also an opportunity for us to get a sense of each other and for you to see if you’d like to work with me. There’s no obligation once you’ve had a consultation, and I strongly recommend looking around to help you find what works best for you.
How to Book:
You can book consultations using this link to my online consultation booking system or by clicking the button below. Alternatively, you can follow this link to contact me if you have any further questions.
